How do I register?

Simply click the "Sign Up Now" link on the top menu (far right) above. You have two options, Pay In Full (best price) or Down Payment (non-refundable despoit holds your spot).

What do I need to bring to PhotoKamp?

You will need to bring your camera, as well as any lenses you prefer to use. PhotoKamp will primarily focus on teaching you lighting techniques and the business of photography. We can answer camera questions, but due to the intense schedule, it is expected that you have a basic working knowledge of your camera. A wide variety of lighting, as well as professional models and a professional hair/make-up team, will be provided.

How large is the class size / how many people can register?

At PhotoKamp we understand that the best way to learn is by doing. For this reason, we limit classes to 12 attendees, so that each photographer has as much individual shooting time as possible.

How can I get the best registration price?

Because PhotoKamp offers early registration discounts, the earlier you register the cheaper the price. Because we offer both "Pay in Full" and "Down Payment" options, the order of cost, from lowest to highest, is:

1 - Early Registration, Pay in Full - BEST PRICE!
2 - Early Registration, Down Payment
3 - Standard Registration, Pay in Full
4 - Standard Registration, Down Payment

How much individual attention will I get?

In designing PhotoKamp, it was extremely important to Nick that the students received plenty of individual attention. As a result, class size is extremely limited, and there will be an emphasis on students learning by actually doing, rather than simply listening to a lecture. You will have several opportunities to learn, assist, and shoot throughout the workshop.

I am brand-freaking-new to photography. Will camera basics be taught?

The focus of PhotoKamp is on lighting as well as the business of photography. You are expected to have at least a basic working knowledge of your camera, and there are many free places to learn your camera settings on-line. If, however, you have a few questions at PhotoKamp, one of the Slickforce team members can pull you aside and walk you through your questions.

Will I be able to keep all of the images from the shoot?

Yes, the models at PhotoKamp have signed releases allowing you to circulate the images freely for portfolio purposes. However, images require additional model permission before running in any commercial publication, such as an on-line or printed magazine.

I am traveling from out of town. Where should I stay?

Because PhotoKamp's are offered in different cities throughout the US and the world, hotel suggestions will vary depending on the location. We frequently have arranged discounts with hotels in the area. Please contact Kevin at kevin@slickforce.com or call 213-489-9309 for specific hotel recommendations.

Is transportation provided?

Transportation is provided on the location shoot only (Day 3), from a common meeting point. Details will be sent to you shortly after registration.

Is there a payment plan?

Payment plan options are available if you choose the Down Payment option. Recurring payment options depend on the length of time remaining before the workshop. Please contact Kevin at kevin@slickforce.com or call 213-489-9309 for specific payment options.

What hotels do you recommend?

If you like to search for your own hotel, SlickforceStudio is located on zip code 90015. Choosing a hotel near here is your best option. Our attendees and clients have had the best experiences at J.W.Marriot at LA Live, Kyoto Grand, the Sheraton, and Wilshire Grand. However, because downtown Los Angeles features such a wide variety of price ranges and quality, we recommend that you visit a site such as hotels.com for reviews that match your personal preferences.

Every shot Nick has taken of me is to die for.
He is a master photographer, and his
lighting is genius. Any smart photographer
should learn what he knows.
